I know, I know - "a new protection brand with a new website. How do I trust them?". Trust me, I've been there.

I'm Michael, full-time collector and founder of Sleeve It Up.

I’ve been collecting trading cards for most of my life. Like a lot of people, I started young. For me it was Yu-Gi-Oh! as a kid, trading cards at school, keeping them in pockets, tins, and whatever I had to hand at the time. I didn’t know (or care) much about protection back then - and I paid for it later. Bent corners, scratched surfaces, warped cards… a lot of those cards didn’t survive. Trust me, the Blue Eyes White Dragon that 13 year old me had would not thank me now.

As an adult, I came back to collecting through Pokémon, and this time I did things properly. Sleeves. Top loaders. Semi-rigids. Sealed product protection. All the things I wish I’d understood the first time around. That experience is really why this business exists.

I’m not here to reinvent the basics of card protection. The goal here is simple: make it easier for UK collectors to protect their cards properly without overpaying or taking risks.

If you collect in the UK, you’ve probably noticed the same two problems I have:
• Big brands charging premium prices for basic protection
• Cheap imports with inconsistent quality, unclear materials, or no real accountability. (The classic "Temu order gone wrong")

Neither felt like a great option to me.

Because of this, we started sourcing straightforward, reliable protection products, testing them myself, and building bundles that actually make sense — the kind of things I’d want to receive if I was ordering as a collector.

Everything is quality-checked and packaged in the UK, because consistency matters. If something isn’t good enough to protect my own cards, it doesn’t get sold.
